ANNIE FRANCIS ADAMSON Annie Francis Adamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Faithful Adamson, was born in Liberty Township, Republic County, Kans. She passed from this life, surrounded by loving friends, at about 10 o'clock Tuesday evening, July 7th, 1914. All had been done for her that human hands and loving hearts could do, but the battle was unequal, disease overmastered and she succumbed to the inevitable. She had been ailing for about eight years. Last fall she began to grow gradually worse and her ailment took on a more serious form and her suffering was intense until death came to her relief. Annie was a sufferer that complained very little altho her poor health prevented her from entering into the enjoyments of life with her associates who were less unfortunate. She always manifested an interest in the affairs of the community as well as the affairs of the home. Owning to her kind disposition she had a large circle of friends who keenly feel their loss in her departure. This is the first death in the family of ten with the exception of one who passed away in early infancy. Besides the parents, four brothers and three sisters survive her. The funeral service held at the home was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. Eld. D.A. Youtsy of the Christian church conducted the service. Interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic). Those from abroad attending the funeral were a brother and sister of Mr. Adamson, two sisters of Mrs. Adamson, and Ben Adamson, brother of the deceased. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community. - Chester Christian. ============================= The Hebron Journal (Hebron, NE), Friday, July 17, 1914; pg. 1 CHESTER From the Herald. The friends of Miss Anna L. (sic) Adamson were grieved to learn of her death, which occurred Tuesday evening at 9:30, from tuberculosis. The funeral services will be held at the home east of town Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. Youtsy in charge.
