Mr. Adamson was a former resident and land owner near that place. ======================== Chester Herald (Chester, NE), Thursday, November 26, 1931; pg. 1 OBITUARY Faithful Adamson Faithful Adamson was born in Crowle Lincolnshire (sic), England, March 4, 1857 and departed this life Saturday, Nov. 21, 1931, aged 74 years, 8 months and 17 days. He came to America with his parents when he was fourteen years of age and located in Nemaha County, Nebraska. On March 10, 1880, he was united in marriage to Marion Naysmith. To this union was born nine children, 5 sons and 4 daughters, 6 of whom survive him, one child died in infancy, Annie died July 6, 1914, John Adamson died July 7, 1920. The surviving ones are Ben Adamson, Long Beach, California, Henry Adamson, Chappell, Mrs. Sarao (sic) Bertrand of Upland, Marion, William and Nellie Adamson, Colorado Springs, Colo. All were present at the funeral except Marion and Ben who were unable to attend. Eight of his ten grandchildren were present. Ben Adamsons two children were the only ones unable to come. He removed to this vicinity of Chester in March, 1881 where he lived for 38 years and was closely identified with the pioneer work of this section and did much constructive work in the community, where he formed many lasting friendships and was himself a true neighbor and friend. It was while living here that he was bereft of his beloved wife and rompanion (sic), the mother of his children and his helper for fourty (sic) -one years. In the summer of 1922 he removed to Colorado Springs where he resided until his death Nov. 21, at Beth El Hospital. His last days were days of intense suffering but was released from it by the death angel. Besides his immediate family on brother, George Adamson, Auburn who was unable to be present but presented by his son, Tom Adamson and family, Auburn, one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Ssadley (sic) who together with a daughter Nellie and a son, Faithful Shadley and wife were present. The remains were brought from Colorado Springs to Chester that he might rest beside the remains of his departed wife. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church conducted by F.E. Blanchard, a former pastor who was the minister in charge at the funeral of his wife almost ten years ago. The whole community joins in expressing sympathy for the bereaved family.
