G. "Tone" Nealon, 60, who died early Tuesday morning at his home here. The unexpected death of the Village Clerk was attributed to a heart attack. Final rites will be held at two o'clock at the Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Donald Albert officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Hymn selections will be "Jesus Saviour, Pilot Me" and "Rock of Ages", which will be sung by Mr. Edwin Kolar. The church organist, Mrs. Clarence Thayer, will accompany the soloist. Anthony Gerald Nealon was born January 21, 1899, on a farm in Greeley County, Nebraska, the son of Patrick E. Nealon and his wife, Ellen Sarah Nestor. He lived in Greeley County all of his life. He was united in marriage to Lulu Borre on January 8, 1930. Of this union, four children were born. He passed to his rest on the eighteenth day of August, 1959. He was 60 years, seven months and 28 days of age. Surviving him are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Betty Gantt of Omaha, Mrs. Mary Ann Timmons of Wolbach, and Miss Velma Nealon, at home, one sister, Mrs. Ellen Grossart of Wolbach, four brothers, Frank and Joe of Greeley, ted of Baldwin Park, California, and Roy of Phoenix, Arizona and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Gene LeRoy, and a sister, Mary. He was baptized and confirmed in the Roman Catholic faith. In life, Mr. Nealon was always known as "Tone". For many years, his occupation was farming. He served his fellow men in public life as a director on the board of school district 53 for some eight years. He also served the Village of Wolbach in several capacities and was presently serving as village clerk. He was an avid fisherman and sportsman and enjoyed working with his hands, building many different things. His willing to help others made him well thought of and many friends.
