Timmons -- Mary Ann Timmons, 72, of Wolbach, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln. Services were held Saturday, November 29th, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach. The Rev. Joseph Javorsky and Vicar Lowell Nelson officiating. Timmons -- Mary Ann Timmons, 72, of Wolbach, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the Nebraska Heart Hospital in Lincoln. Services were held Saturday, November 29th, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach. The Rev. Joseph Javorsky and Vicar Lowell Nelson officiating. Organist Marilyn Paulman accompanied Harriet Steenson as she sang "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Interment was in Hillside Cemetery at Wolbach. Casketbearers were Dan Cook, Dewayne Shepard, Nick Cook, Craig Oakley, Mitch Wagner, Scott Oakley, Matt Steenson, Bryan Mahrt, and Jarod Steenson. Mrs. Timmons has been involved with the Wolbach Schools, and more recently the Greeley-Wolbach Schools, for over 35 years, She has always been a bus driver and has also been a custodian and a playground supervisor over the years. She was united in marriage to Duane Timmons on January 23, 1955 in Scotia. She was very active in the Wolbach community. She was one of the first Wolbach EMT's starting on the squad in 1986 when it was created and had been an active member ever since. Mrs. Timmons was a member of the Dorcas Circle at Trinity Lutheran Church. At the time of her death, she was serving as vice president of the Wolbach Community Club and on the Board of Directors of the Wolbach Community Foundation. She served in the color guard of the American Legion Auxiliary, was a charter member of the Town and Country Club, and was involved with the Red Cross Bloodmobile for the Wolbach area, serving as co-coordinator. Survivors include her husband Duane "Tim" of Wolbach; a daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Rich Iliff of Omaha; a son, Larry Timmons of Kearney; two grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Fred McIntyre of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jerry and Bryan Timmons; a brother, Gene Nealon; and a sister Betty Gantt.
