Read More	Archibald Kenneth Barry Bridgewater Bulletin A host of friends and relatives were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Archibald Kenneth Barry, a highly esteemed resident of Maitland, whose death occurred at his home on Saturday evening, June 16th. Although in failing health for some time, his passing came as a shock. Endeared to all who knew him, by his kind hearted and jovial disposition, the absence of Mr. Barry will be very keenly felt in his home and community and especially at Christ Anglican Church, of which he was a devoted member. He possessed a rich bass voice which enhanced the choir of Christ Church faithfully for approximately seventy years. The late Mr. Barry was born at Maitland in 1881 and was eighty years of age. He was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Silver) Barry. He spent his entire life at Maitland where he engaged in farming. Left to mourn their loss are his wife, the former Muriel Barry; three daughters, Helen (Mrs. Archie Seamone), Bridgewater; Nellie (Mrs.Donald Feindel), Bridgewater; Isobel (Mrs. Ray Barry), Maitland; seven sons, Cecil, Bridgewater; George, Skagway, Alaska; Henry, PortWallis; Sidney, Maitland; Eric, Blockhouse; Lloyd, Saskatoon;Kenneth ,at home. Other survivors are a sister, Susie (Mrs. Charles Slauenwhite), Bridgewater; two brothers, Charles and Albert, both at Maitland; 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Audrey; a sister, Eva; and two brothers, William and Joe, predeceased him. The funeral service was held at Christ Church, Maitland, which was filled to capacity, on Tuesday afternoon, June 19th, at 3:15 p.m. with the Rector, Rev. H.S. Corbin officiating. Hymns sung were "Lead Kindly Light" and "How Sweet the Hour of Closing Day." Mrs. H.S. Corbin presided at the organ. In company with Christ Church choir were several members of St. James Choir, Mahone Bay. Pall bearers were Messrs. Francis Langille, Paul Rodenhiser, Ivan Barry, and Rodney Hirtle.
