Arlene was born to Frank and Ida (Jordening) Holtmeier in Beatrice on April 2, 1937. She graduated from Beatrice High School and received certification as an educator from Fairbury Junior College. She taught in the rural school system in Pickrell for one year prior to marriage. Arlene married Robert “Bob” Mahloch on June 5, 1955. They celebrated 48 years of marriage. Bob and Arlene raised their four children on their farm in rural DeWitt. Relocating to Brownsville, TX in 1978, they owned and operated the Tip-O-Tex RV Park. Arlene retired to New Braunfels in 2006. Retirement meant freedom, outings and activities with her cherished circle of friends. Arlene is survived by her children, Craig (Melissa) Mahloch, Todd Mahloch, and Amy (Bill) Lawrence; her grandchildren, Ana Mahloch, Tiffany Mahloch, and Makayla Mahloch; and her great-grandchildren, Sebastian Wilke and Helena Wilke. Surviving in-laws include Arlene (Donald) Holtmeier, Shirley (Robert) Holtmeier, Ruth (Frank) Reel, and Al (Marilyn) Waltke. Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Mahloch; her son, Brad Mahloch; her parents, Frank and Ida Holtmeier; siblings and their spouses including Edgar (Frieda) Holtmeier, Melvin (Ellen) Holtmeier, Raymond (Idella) Holtmeier, Gerald (Grace) Holtmeier, Franklin (Norma) Holtmeier, Donald Holtmeier, Robert (Carol) Holtmeier, and Marilyn Waltke. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to First Trinity Lutheran Church in Beatrice. www.genealogybank.com
