Description	:	Arthur A. Gibson, son of Hugh and Henrietta Gibson, was born March 17, 1883 at Fairmont, Nebr. and departed this life at Holdrege, Nebr. July 1, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 14 days. He was one of a family of ten children and came with his parents to the Edison community in 1893. He was united in marriage to Sabina Fisher in November, 1906, and she passed away in 1924. To this union three children were born, Gladys, passing away in infancy. Gibson, son of Hugh and Henrietta Gibson, was born March 17, 1883 at Fairmont, Nebr. and departed this life at Holdrege, Nebr. July 1, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 14 days. He was one of a family of ten children and came with his parents to the Edison community in 1893. He was united in marriage to Sabina Fisher in November, 1906, and she passed away in 1924. To this union three children were born, Gladys, passing away in infancy. He moved to the farm when he was married on which he spent the rest of his lifetime. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister, Nola Wilson; four brothers, Wallace, Charles, William and Ray and two other brothers passing away in infancy. He is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Deselms of Wray, Colo.; one son, Dale Gibson of Oxford; three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry of Scottsbluff, Nebr. and Harve of Edison; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services for Arthur A. Gibson were held Wednesday July 3, at 10 o'clock at the Christian church with the pastor, James Snyder, officiating. Mrs. T. V. French played an organ prelude as friends and relatives came to pay their last respects. Mr. and Mrs. Howard McCann sang "Going Down the Valley" and "The Old Rugged Cross", accompanied by Mrs. French. Casket-bearers were Gilbert Engelbrecht of Oxford, Orgel Girch, Claude Benjamin, Frank Fewell, Billy Shafer and Don Shafer. Burial was in the Edison Cemetery with the Mitchel Funeral home of Oxford in charge of arrangements.
