Read More	Aurea Bell McMillin Grieves was born April 20, 1862 in Taylor County, Iowa and died Thursday, November 15, 1945, aged 83 years, 6 months, and 5 days. She was the daughter of Thomas a. and Susan M. McMillin, who lived on a farm in Taylor County, Iowa. She was married January 7, 1895 to Henry Grieves, the Rev. Joseph Peregrine officiating. To this union one son, Jay was born, but he lived only 15 years. Mrs., Grieves had ten brothers and sisters; four died in early years, Arthur, Anne, Thomas, and Mary Elizabeth. In following years death took Mrs. Alice McKay and Mrs. Angeline Devore; two brothers, Allen and Bonar. Surviving are one brother, Alexander of Centralia, Washington and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Lacox of Nodaway. Before her marriage, she was one of our pioneer school teachers, having taught in both Taylor and Adams Counties and in Nebraska. She and her brother also homesteaded in South Dakota. She was a long time member of the Christian Church and since moving to Nodaway, she attended the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches. She has been in failing health for the past few years. He husband passed away in 1937. Nodaway has been her home since 1929. She will be greatly missed by her relatives and friends and the community extends to the bereaved ones its heartfelt sympathy. Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. H. B. Kishpaugh. Interment was made in the Methodist Grove Cemetery. Pall bearers were, Wm. Lacox, Ivan Akers, Rex Lacox, Glea Lacox, Doyle Akers, and Kelly Hess. Flower bearers were Mrs. Frank Arnott, Mrs. Julia Richey, Mrs. Olive Moser. Music by Mrs. H. B. Kishpaugh, pianist, Mrs. C. N.
