Peppers 76 years old, well known citizen of Ottumwa for the last 46 years, and a former salesman for the Walter T. Hall & Co., died at 11:10 AM today at his home, 107 North Ward St. He was a member of the Ottumwa Lodge No. 16, A. F. & A. M., Malta Commandery, Ottumwa Council No. 31, Clinton chapter No. 9, and, Kaaba Shrine of Davenport, all of the Masonic order; and No. 347, B. P. O. E.; Knights of Pythias; and No. 169, United Commercial Travelers. He survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Childs Peppers; two sons, Leo W. Peppers, 306 N. McLean Street, and Paul M. Peppers, Kansas City, Missouri; three daughters, Edith P. Erskine, Carter Ave., Thelma P. Murto, San Diego, California and Martha Maher, Chicago; a brother, Ed L. Peppers of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and four sisters, Mrs. Myra P. Weller of Miami, Oklahoma, Mrs. Alice P. Harbaugh of Kansas City, Missouri, Mrs. Nell P. Liden, of Boone, and Mrs. Bertha Pratt of Kansas City, Missouri. He also survived by 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Friday and the Daggett funeral Chapel, the Rev. O. B. Preston, of the Plymouth Congregational church officiating. No. 347, B. P. O. E., will give a eulogy, and Jesse E. Miller will sing Crossing the Bar. Pallbearers will be Tom Brown, J. Garretson, Gerald Vinson, Jack Click, Tillman Kratzer, Paul Chamberlain and Ernest Baer. There will be Masonic services at the grave and a Knights Templar escort. Burial be in the Shaul cemetery
