His parents were Olaf and Mathilda (Olson) Domire, and he came to Montana with them in 1910. They homesteaded in the Goldstone community 20 miles north of Rudyard. Read More	Liberty County Times, Chester, MT, July 1979 BENNIE DOMIRE Bennie Domire was born in Portland, North Dakota, on December 16, 1902. His parents were Olaf and Mathilda (Olson) Domire, and he came to Montana with them in 1910. They homesteaded in the Goldstone community 20 miles north of Rudyard. Bennie attended the Swift country school there. In 1929 he purchased his own farm 1-1/2 miles north of Rudyard. Bennie and Ann Sohm were married in Hingham on September 21, 1937, and they made their home on the farm. They worked the farm together until retirement in 1977, when they moved into Rudyard. Bennie had been a past member of the P.T.A. and the Farmer's Union. He loved horses and in his younger years was an excellent rider. The love of his life was farming although he did enjoy raising a few livestock and busying himself in the shop during the off-season. Bennie had suffered a heart attack several years ago but had been doing relatively well as of recently. After spending a nice day with his family at the old farmhouse on July 4th, he suffered an attack that evening. He was taken to the Liberty County Hospital via Rudyard ambulance, but was pronounced dead at the emergency room there. Survivors include his wife, Ann, of Rudyard; 2 sons, Clarence of Falls Church, Virginia, and Joseph of Rudyard; 2 daughters, Mrs. George (Dianne) Folk of Lewistown, and Mrs. Rodney (Kathleen) Tibbetts of Hawley, Minnesota; 1 brother, Carl of Rudyard, 2 sisters, Mrs. Mabel Ribitt of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Lenore Connolly of Rudyard; 9 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother who died in infancy. Funeral services were held, July 7th, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rudyard. Rev. Wayne Pris of Our Savior's officiated. Pallbearere included Raymond Warhank, Alfred Voss, Otto Afdahl, Joe Schweitzer, Leander Schweitzer, and Harlan Wendland. Interment followed in the Hingham Cemetery.
