Funeral services were held this afternoon in the community hall at Rudyard and burial was made in the Hingham Union cemetery by the side of his wife who preceded him in death on September 19, 1917. Rev. N.S. Magelsen of the Lutheran Church conducted the services. The deceased, son of Henry and Carrie Clark Domire, was born in New York state, April 1, 1857, and lived at Red Wing, Minnesota, with his parents until 1881 when they established residence in North Dakota. In 1910 he settled on a homestead near Goldstone and in later years made Rudyard his home. He was united in marriage to Miss Mathilda Olson at Portland, North Dakota, to which union five children were born. Three children, Ben, Carl, and Lenore, reside in the Rudyard community and one, Mrs. L.H. (Mabel) Rivitt, at Crookston, Minnesota. The deceased is survived by two brothers, one sister, and three grandchildren. -- Correction/addition to obituary: Olaf Domire was born April 1, 1866 near Oslo, Norway. He came to America in 1867 with his parents, Henrick and Kari Domier and siblings, William, John and Louise, settling first in Minnesota before the family homesteaded in North Dakota in 1881. Olaf changed the spelling of his name to Domire. His siblings are: William Domier, John Domier, Louise Haagenson, Oscar Domier, Ludvig Domier and August Domier, all of them stayed in North Dakota. --Info from family member
