He moved... Read More	Liberty County Times, Chester, MT, Aug. 22, 1980 CARL ADOLPH DOMIRE Carl Adolph Domire was born in Portland, North Dakota, on October 27, 1895. He was one of five children born to Olaf and Mathilda (Olson) Domire. He came to Montana in 1910 with his parents, who homesteaded in the Goldstone community 20 miles north of Rudyard. Carl has essentially lived in Montana his entire adult life. He never married. He worked as a farm laborer in the Inverness and Rudyard communities. For years he lived alone in the Inverness Hotel. He moved to Rudyard about 7 years ago and lived in the Grand Hotel there. This spring he entered the Liberty County Rest Home, where he has resided since. Early Friday morning, he died at the Liberty County Hospital. He was 84 years old. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 26th, at 2 p.m. at the Rockman Funeral Chapel in Chester. Rev. David Barker of Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiated. The congregation sant "Amazing Grace" and "Children of the Heavenly Father," accompanied by Iris White on the organ. Friends serving as pallbearers included Donald Meyer, Otto K. Afdahl, Leander Schweitzer, Dalton Dahlke, Clarence Bakke, and Alvin Barbie. Interment followed in the Hingham cemetery. Carl is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Rivitt of Seattle and Mrs. A. Lenore Connolly of Rudyard; one sister-in-law, Ann Domire of Rudyard, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers (one died in infancy and Bennie died on July 4, 1979).
