Description	:	Mrs. Blanche Decker Rites Held June 21 Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Decker were held Monday afternoon, June 21, at the First Baptist church in Emerson with the Rev. J.F. Kunce officiating. Arrangements were by Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home. Music was by Mrs. Edward Greenwood and soloist was Mrs. Charles Vestal. Caring for the flowers were Mrs. Lane Morse, Mrs. Ray Mitchell and Mrs. Clyde Patton. Casket bearers were Lane Morse, Charles Vestal, Edward Greenwood, Ray Mitchell, Clyde Patton and Gordon Frink. Blanche Lydia Soliday Decker was the youngest daughter of George L. and Adaline Jones Soliday and was born in Mills County, Iowa on December 23,1890. The family moved to Silver City where she started to school and graduated on May 20, 1909. She was always active in the Sunday school and church and served as president of the M and A Society. She was united in marriage to Ernest A. Decker in Glenwood on Oct. 23, 1912 and they established their home on a farm east of Silver City. Five children blessed this union: Ernest Alvin Decker, Glenwood; Mae D. Hall, who died March 15,1965; Margie V. Hampton, Emerson; Lyle Gail Decker, who died December 25,1958 and Robert George Decker of Fremont, Calif. They had five granddaughters, two grandsons and thirteen great grandchildren.Her husband, father, mother, one sister and two brothers preceded her in death. Many nieces and nephews mourn her passing. Since moving to Emerson, she has been active in the Baptist church. The couple had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary October 21, 1962 at the Baptist church with 264 relatives.
