Description	:	Rites Held Monday For Mrs. Palmer Mrs. Blanche Palmer, 82, died Thursday, August 13, at Memorial Hospital. She had been a resident of Prairie Center Nursing Home for the past year. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First United Methodist church, with the rev. Don Greenough officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Reck Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers were Leland Taylor, Morris Droppers, dean Huisman, Ray Huisman, Wilbur Johnson and Lyle Droppers. A life-time resident of Hand County and of Miller, Mrs. Palmer was born in Glendale township, July 1, 1894, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs., Loren Porter. She was married to Calvin Palmer September 9, 1913, and they farmed in the county for many years. Upon retirement they moved to Miller. She continued to make her home here following the death of her husband, and a year ago moved to Prairie Center Good Samaritan Center. Surviving are eight daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Una) McKinney, Mrs. Willard (Margaret) Lewellen, Mrs. Merley Johnson, Mrs. Robert (Ida) Moser, all of Miller. Mrs. Lowell (Stella) Christiansen, Robbinsdale, Minn., Mrs. Martin (Dorothy) Manning, Minneapolis, Mrs. Ivan (Hazel) Hancock, and Mrs., George (Ella) Kuper, Ree Heights; and one son, Loren Palmer, Fridley, Minn. There are 34 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
