Ella June Palmer was born June 12, 1928, at Miller, to Calvin and Blanche (Porter) Palmer. She grew up in south Hand County and attended school in Miller. She married George Kuper January 14, 1947, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Miller. To this union seven children were born. She and her husband resided in the Ree Heights area for the past 50 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church in Highmore. Survivors include her husband of Ree Heights; three sons, Vernon (Mary Louise) of Woonsocket, Randy of Custer and Kenneth of Ree Heights; three daughters, Irene Gabriel of Ree Heights, Beth Shaffner of Miller and Becky (John) Nacke of Lincoln, Neb.; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; six sisters, Una McKinney, Marg Lewellen, Dorothy Manning, Hazel Hancock, Merley Droppers and Ida Moser, and one brother, Bud Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Stella Christensin; one daughter, Larita Harrison; and one grandson, Darren Gabriel. October 2, 2002
