Bonnie was born September 4, 1915, in Hardin Township to the late C.J. and Elizabeth (Hamburg) Eames. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth L. Minssen in 1999; son, Robert in 2006; and her sister, Rhua Owens in 2006. Bonnie is survived by two sons and their families. Bonnie attended Thomas Jefferson High School for 3 years and graduated in 1932 from Abraham Lincoln High School. She attended Boyles Business College in Council Bluffs. Bonnie worked four years at E. H. Lougee, Inc., Council Bluffs; civil service in Washington, D.C. and transferred in 1940 to the San Francisco Bay area until 1945, at the end of WWII. She returned home to Iowa and married Kenneth on October 26, 1947, at the Salem (Evangelical) United Methodist Church in Council Bluffs.
