Description	:	Bridget Welch was born to Antone and Sarah (MacDonald) Welch in the south of Ireland July 12, 1943. She departed this life at Geneva, Neb., November 9, 1928, aged 85 years, 3 months and 29 days. Her parents, when Bridget was still a young child, moved to Canada and lived there on a small farm. She departed this life at Geneva, Neb., November 9, 1928, aged 85 years, 3 months and 29 days. Her parents, when Bridget was still a young child, moved to Canada and lived there on a small farm. It was here she met James Henry Bell, whom she married December 20, 1862. Mr. and Mrs. Bell lived in Canada until 1865 when they came to the states and settled in Iowa. Mr. Bell had a position with a railroad company. By their industry and care, they were able to buy a small farm which they later sold and determined to come father west to Nebraska. Thither they came in a covered wagon and made their home on a farm in Chelsea Township. Nine children were born to them of whom seven survive: Willard W., Lizzie, Frances, Hattie E., Irvine J., Alvin S. and Luella. The father passed away in May, 1915. She leaves, besides those named, thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a large circle of close friends. Her funeral took place from her home Sunday afternoon. Rev. David Tudor of the Congregational Church officiated. The pallbearers were Dr. Roy Bell, Charles Bell, Clement Hennessey, Earl Hennessey, Melvin Elward and Mervil Elward, all of whom are her grandsons.
