He was united in marriage August 21, 1925 at Seward to Mrs. Florence Schooler. The couple made their home in Geneva until 1944, when they moved to York, where they became custodians of the newly erected York City auditorium. They held this position two years. Read More	BELL, SHELLEY—Shelley Bell was born March 27, 1884, in Chelsea township near Geneva, Neb., son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Bell, both deceased. He was united in marriage August 21, 1925 at Seward to Mrs. Florence Schooler. The couple made their home in Geneva until 1944, when they moved to York, where they became custodians of the newly erected York City auditorium. They held this position two years. Mr. Bell then returned to his original trade of painting and paperhanging. The past fifteen years the couple lived in York, Waco and Bradshaw. Mr. Bell is the youngest of nine children. There is but one-a sister, Mrs. Hattie Rakestraw of Las Vegas, Nev., surviving. He was preceded in death one month, one day and three minutes by his wife, Mrs. Florence Bell. She died in the York General hospital, November 20, 1959. Mr. Bell had been making his home with his step-daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Jacque St., of Geneva, since the death of his wife. He had returned to his farm home Wednesday, December 17, to spend the day. He was in apparent good health when he left Geneva in the morning. He was found by his landlord late Wednesday afternoon after he had suffered a paralytic stroke. He was admitted to the York hospital Wednesday evening. He died at 1:23 a. m. December 21, 1959. He is survived by a step daughter, Mrs. William Jacque of Geneva, a step-son, L. K. Schooler of Atchinson, Kas., step-grandchildren, SFC and Mrs. William J. Jacque and Keven, Mrs. Francis Becker and sons Michael, Douglas and Matthew, and Jack Jacque. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in the Metz chapel in York, December 23, 1959. Rev. Marvin Garlock officiated. Burial was in the Geneva cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Babst, Fred Fox, Jack Harrington, Joe Ladman Jr., Guy Leonard and Roy Linder, all of Geneva. The Nebraska Signal December 1959
