He attended Simpson grade school and was graduated with the second graduating class of Simpson High School. Briscoe Krinkle and Bertha Gentry were united in marriage April 19, 1922. To this union were born Phillip Hayes, Margaret Elizabeth, Phyllis Jean and John Henry. Briscoe and family lived in the Simpson community until 1932 when they moved to Wyoming and one year later to Nebraska. He attended Simpson grade school and was graduated with the second graduating class of Simpson High School. Briscoe Krinkle and Bertha Gentry were united in marriage April 19, 1922. To this union were born Phillip Hayes, Margaret Elizabeth, Phyllis Jean and John Henry. Briscoe and family lived in the Simpson community until 1932 when they moved to Wyoming and one year later to Nebraska. In the early forties the family moved to California where they have since resided. Briscoe was preceded in death by his wife and two sons, his parents and brother, Hayes. He is survived by his two daughters, Beth Krinkle of the home and Phyllis Blalock; his son-in-law, Louie; and three grandchildren, Norman, John and Ronald, of San Leandro, Calif.; two sisters, Zelma Finley of Keats, Kans. and Belva Worton of Simpson, Kans., and many nieces and nephews. Briscoe was a faithful member of the Baptist Church from his youth and was affiliated with the Masonic Lodge at Simpson, Kans. for over 25 years. He departed this life January 23, 1963, at Clearlake Oaks, Calif., and will be greatly missed by his family and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Simpson Baptist Church Monday, January 28, with Rev. Dale Gates officiating. Pianist was Hazel Duvall and singers Faye Pearson, Berta Lou Siegrist and Anna Gates. Pallbearers were Lyle Leinen, Glenn Vernon, Wilbur Pearson, Clyde Duvall, Joe Prickett, and Ed Lange. Caring for the flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Loren McClintock and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grittman. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery with Simpson Masonic Lodge in charge of the graveside services. Dean Funeral Home of Glasco was in charge of arrangements.
