Surviving are his wife, Gladys Wagoner Delp; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Judy Delp, King, N.C., Ray and Edie Delp, Selma, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Delp, Charlotte, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Iris Delp, Winston-Salem, N.C.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace and Bill Morris, Lexington, N.C., Reba and Ross McGrady, Verna Honaker, all of Galax; five grandchildren, Chad Delp and wife, Clarke, Kevin Delp, Ashley Delp, Brad Delp and Todd Delp. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Independence, Va., with the Rev. David Roberts, the Rev. Fred E. Jennings and Bobby Jennings officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church 30 minutes preceding the service. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Independence Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 607, Independence, Va. 24348, Independence Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 688, Independence, Va. 24348. or the charity of donors choice.
