CARL JAUKEN A critical and painful illness of ten weeks proved fatal to Carl Jauken of Seneca Saturday morning, October 26, 1946, at the age of 61 years, one month and 24 days. Carl Jauken, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Jauken, was born here in Nemaha County, Kansas, September 2, 1885. He was baptized in the old Lutheran church on the east side of the Nemaha River and he was confirmed in the Friedens Evangelical Church. He was united in marriage to Alice Heiniger May 2, 1923. To this union was born one son, who died when he was fourteen years of age. He leaves to mourn his loss two brothers and three sisters, Henry Jauken of Sabetha, Herman Jauken of Bern, Mrs. William E. Smith of Circleville, Mrs. William Amos of Pawnee City, Mrs. Henry Waltke of Firth, Neb. and a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Friedens Evangelical church north of Bern. The Rev.
