Mr. Price purchased land in Norway Township where the family resided. Mr. and Mrs. Price's three children were Edward, Janie (Mrs. C. E. McCaffree), and Nettie who taught in the Lake Mills School for 50 years. She was honored by many Lake Mills area and distant friends when "Nettie Price Day" was observed upon her retirement. Edward joined his father in the operation of the farm and after his parents moved to town in 1907, he took over the operations.Edward was married to Mary Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Davis. They had two children, Shirley, Cook, Minn., and Kathlyn, (Mrs. James Cooney), Tyler, Tex. Meryl McCaffree, a grandaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Price, is deceased ∼Maiden name usually found as "Malloch", but has been found in some Ancestry sources with variations, as well as "Carrie" for the first name. Will enter this memorial as "Caroline Malloch Price" pending any clarification or documentation to the contrary. -------------- Wife of Ezra Ashley Price. Reportedly they had at least nine children. Several evidently died as infants, others grew to adulthood. Of those who grew to adulthood and mentioned (or alluded to) in the parents obituaries, they were: Edward W. Price, Arthur H. Price, James Ezra Price, and Karl Ashley Price. ------------- The exact death date for Caroline is somewhat uncertain. Although a Fairfield Journal obituary was found for her, whether or not it was published soon after her death or was delayed by a week in publication isn't known. Any information about her exact DOD would be appreciated.
