Nov 23, 1959 - Carroll Daily Times - Mrs. Katherine "Kate" Warning, 76, died Sunday morning at her home at 315 North West street, Carroll, after being in ill health for several years and seriously ill the past week. Friends may call at the Twit Funeral Home starting at 7 p.m. Monday where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday. Members of the Rosary and Altar Society of Ss. Peter and Paul Church will say the rosary at 8 p.m. Tuesday led by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. F.H. Greteman. Requiem mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ss. Peter and Paul church by Msgr. Greteman with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Mrs. Warning was born at Mt. Carmel Aug 27, 1883, a daughter of John and Gertrude Hoff Danner. She married Philip Schleisman at Mt. Carmel Aug. 12, 1902. They farmed in Carroll county for many years. Mr. Schleisman died Dec. 4, 1934. Surviving from this marriage are one son, Philip Adam Schleisman, Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Blanche) Padovich, Miami, Fla.; and Mrs. Lambert (Geraldine) Schaben, Maple River; and five stepchildren: Mrs. Henry (Mollie) Daniel, Carroll; Ed Schleisman, Duncombe; Walter Schleisman, Manson; Foster Schleisman, Yuba City, Calif.; and Mrs. Irene Harris, who lives in California. Mrs. Warning married George Warning, Lidderdale, July 22, 1939, at St. Mary's Church, Lake City, with Fr. Quinn performing the ceremony. Surviving from this marriage are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Henry Prill, Lidderdale, and Mrs. Fred (Jessie) Johnson, Glidden. She is survived by the following sisters and brothers: Mary Danner, who made her home with Mrs. Warning in Carroll, Ben Danner, Mrs. Anna Bedford, Mrs. Frank Olerich, and John B. Danner, all of Carroll, and Joe Danner. St. Louis, Mo. Preceding her in death besides her parents were two sons, Philip John Schleisman, at the age of three months, and Clarence Schleisman, at the age of 13 years; and two sisters. Mrs. Warning had lived at her present home in Carroll for the past eight years.
