Mr Danner, who had suffered with cancer for some time, developed pneumonia which resulted in his death. All of his children were at his bedside when he passed away. The body is at the Gregory Funeral Home, where it will rest until the time of the funeral services. Friends may call at the funeral home to view the body. Rites will be held at 8:30 Thursday morning at SS. Peter and Paul's Church, with the Rev. H.B. Karhoff reading the requiem mass. Burial will be in the family lot in the parish cemetery. Born May 20, 1859, at Nedderdorf, Bavaria, Germany, Mr. Danner was one of five children of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Danner. Nov. 25, 1882, at Kensting, Germany he was married to Miss Gertrude Hoff. Shortly after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Danner came to the United States and settled on a farm near Mt. Carmel, Carroll County. Twenty years ago they retired from farming to make their home at 315 North West Street in Carroll. An enthusiastic gardener, Mr. Danner kept a large garden plot after leaving the farm. Surviving Mr. Danner are four daughters and three sons: Mrs. Kate Schleisman, Miss Mary Danner, Mrs. John Bedford, Mrs. Frank Olerich and Joe Danner, all of Carroll; John Danner and Ben Danner of Maple River; twenty-five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two brothers, Wolfgang Danner of Willey and Joseph Danner, who still lives in Germany. Mr. Danner was preceded in death by his wife, who died March 22, 1930; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Osterholt, who passed away nearly eight years ago; and two children who died in infancy. Two sisters, Mrs. John Krause and Mrs. John Blum, are also deceased. Mr. Danner, who was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church, died well fortified with the last sacraments.
