Feld 60, who had lived in Carroll county since she was 12 years old, died at 7:50 this morning at the St Anthony Hospital. Mrs. Felds death was caused by a heart ailment. She had been ill for 8 weeks and had been in the hospital since April 15. Funeral services are to be at 9 o'clock Monday morning at SS. Peter and Paul's church, with the Rev. Father Lambert Schenkelberg offering the solemn requiem mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery beside her husband, who died Oct. 11, 1945. The body is being returned at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Sharp Funeral home to the family residence, 120 South Court street, to rest there until the hour of the services. The rosary, led by the Rev. Father Schenkelberg will be prayed at the family home at 8 o'clock Sunday evening. Members of the Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers society will attend in groups. Mrs. Feld, whose maiden name was Catherine Mary Wilden, was born Feb. 8, 1886, at Lyons, Iowa. In 1898 she came to Carroll county with her parents, Anton and Catherine Wilden, who settled on a farm in this community. Her marriage to Mr. Feld took place Sept. 24. 1907, at S.S. Peter and Paul's church, with the late Rev. Father Kemper officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Feld established their home on a farm two miles east and one mile north of Carroll. After living there two years, they moved to their own farm one mile east and two miles north of Carroll, residing there for 25 years. They moved from this farm to the present home on Court Street. Mrs. Feld was a Gold Star mother, her son, Pvt. Marvin, having lost his life in France Aug. 2, 1944. Her surviving children are: Joseph, St. Louis, Mo.; LeRoy, Halbur; Walter, Linus and Anthony, Carroll, and Mrs. Alvera Goldsworthy, Kalamazoo, Mich. She also leaves 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Ashpole and Mrs. Ray Byam, and three brothers, John, Pete and Phil Wilden, all of Clinton. Besides her husband and son, Marvin, she was preceded in death by two other children, Ray, twin brother of LeRoy, and Helen . Two sisters, Elizabeth and Ann, are deceased. Mrs. Feld was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul's church and the Christian Mothers sodality of the parish. She belonged to Court St. Rose of Lima No. 6, Catholic Daughters of America.
