Description	:	Kauffman - Catherine Rebecca Clingdenel, died September 22, 2006 in Grand Junction, CO. She was born in Elkhart, IN to Leroy and Amanda Hunsberger Clingdenel. She was adopted and raised by Eli and Drusilla Stutzman. She was married to Chester Kauffman at the East Union Mennonite Church in 1930. He died November 13, 1979. Survived by six children and two daughters-in-law. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and four sisters, Agnes, Pearl, Bessie and Hulda. On Feb 2, 1917, he was married to Amanda Hunsberger Clingdaniel, and in 1922 moved with his family to Elkhart. A few years later he accepted Christ and became a member of the Mennonite Church in Elkhart, worshiping at Belmont. He had been in poor health for several years, but grew worse rapidly in the week preceding his death. He leaves his widow, 5 daughters, 2 stepdaughters, 2 stepsons, and one sister. Funeral services were held March 20, at the Belmont Church Elkhart, in charge of Leroy Hostetler, J E Gingerich, A.L. Buzzard, and Homer North. Burial was made in the South Union Cemetery. Wilson - Amanda (Hunsberger), was born at Nappanee, Ind, Jan 20, 1890; died at Elkhart, Ind, May 5, 1977; aged 87 y. She was married to Leroy Clingdanel, who died in 1913. On Mar 19, 1917, she was married to John 0 Wilson, who died on Mar 17, 1946. Surviving are 2 sons (Harvey M and Clarence O Clingdanel), 7 daughters (Catherine - Mrs Chester Kauffman, Goldie - Mrs Earl Glasscock, Agnes - Mrs Lewis Blakesley, Hulda - Mrs Charles Rock, Pear l- Mrs Robert Pressler, Berniece - Mrs Melvin Esposto, and Bessie - Mrs Richard Wenger), 29 grandchildren, and 58 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Belmont Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on May 7, in charge of Ray Bair; interment in the South Union Cemetery, Nappanee. Clingdanel - Leroy Sherman Clingdanel was born in St Joseph Co, Ind, May 16, 1876; died Mar 6, 1913; aged 36 y, 9 m, 20 d. He was married to Amanda Hunsberger July 16, 1907. To this union were born 1 son and 2 daughters whom he leaves to mourn his departure, together with his companion, his mother, 1 half brother and 1 half sister. He had never made a confession and was considered a wicked and sinful man; but he repented and was received into the Mennonite Church by water baptism five days before he died and was fully resigned to the will of God. He was buried March 9. Funeral services were held in the Locke Church conducted by -- Kreider and David Burkholder. The funeral was largely attended. Text, Amos 4:12. Peace to his ashes.
