Description	:	The death of Charley Austin Williams which occured Sunday September 12, took from Southwest Iowa one of it's early pioneers. He was born in Mills County December 9,1863. He was the son of Urbin Franklin Williams and Martha Utterback Charely Williams was one of a family of seven children. Two died in infancy. He was the son of Urbin Franklin Williams and Martha Utterback Charely Williams was one of a family of seven children. Two died in infancy. The others were a sister, Candace and three brothers Albert,Newton and Fielden. He is the last of that group. Mr. Williams and Annie Mae Roland were married at the Christmas season 1931. the date of their wedding beginning the 24th of December. One son was born to them. Claude Williams living north of Taber. Since the death of his wife, Mr. Williams has been making his home with his son and family. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren mourn his death. Mr. Williams and his wife were members of Fairview Methodist Church, later transferring their membership to the Hillsdale Methodist Church, when services were no longer held at Fairview. They were very active in the religious life of these communities. Mr. Williams well known as a successful farmer and has a helpful neighbor. He was highly respected in the community. Funeral services were held in the Raynor Funeral Home in Glennwood, Wednesday afternoon, September 15th at 2 o'clock conducted by the Reverend Peter Jacobs of Shenandoah, a former minister and friend of the family. Music was furnished by Walter Phelps, accompanied by Mrs. Myron Jones. Casket bearers were Ralph Williams, Dayre Williams, Earl William, Louis Bass, Guy Wolfe and Ernest White. Flower bearers were Mrs. Ernest White, Mrs. L. F. Seager, Mrs. Guy Wolfe,Mrs. Clayton Bowers. Intermediate was in the Malvern Cemetery.
