Description	:	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 6 March 1946 Charles Schoonover Passed Away at St. Clare Hospital Charles Schoonover, a resident of Chouteau county and Fort Benton since 1915, passed away at St. Clare hospital on last Thursday following an extended illness. Mr. Schoonover was injured in an automobile accident north of Carter a number of months ago and it is thought he never recovered from the injuries. Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 6 March 1946 Charles Schoonover Passed Away at St. Clare Hospital Charles Schoonover, a resident of Chouteau county and Fort Benton since 1915, passed away at St. Clare hospital on last Thursday following an extended illness. Mr. Schoonover was injured in an automobile accident north of Carter a number of months ago and it is thought he never recovered from the injuries. He has been in poor health since that time and a patient at the local hospital for the past two months. Mr. Schoonover was well known in this city. He worked at various occupations during his residence here and was an expert teamster. Mr. Schoonover was born in Putnam county, Indiana, on Oct. 28, 1873, and spent his early life there, going later to Oklahoma and Kansas, and coming to Montana and this county in 1915, where he has since resided except for a time he was employed at contract jobs at other points. For the past few years he has continuously resided here. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Grace Smith, of Kansas City, Missouri, and three brothers, Paul and Melvin, of this city, and Lafe of Canada, who arrived for the services; and by two sisters, Mrs. Ella Stokes of Portal, N. D., and Mrs. Effie Reynolds, of Ames, Oklahoma, and by other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from the Cloyd mortuary and conducted by the Rev. Earle G.
