Mrs. Schoonover had a stroke of paralysis about ten days ago and has been in critical condition since that time, there being no hope held for her recovery. Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 5 April 1933 Mrs. Eliza Frances Schoonover Called Another of the aged residents of Fort Benton answered the finals summons when Mrs. Eliza Frances Schoonover passed away at her home in this city on Friday afternoon, March 31st, following an illness of ten days duration. Mrs. Schoonover had a stroke of paralysis about ten days ago and has been in critical condition since that time, there being no hope held for her recovery. Mrs. Schoonover had been a resident of Fort Benton since 1915 and was well and favorably known by a large number of residents. She has resided with her sons for some time. Mrs. Schoonover was born in Roanoke county, Virginia, on May 4, 1851, and was 81 years, 10 months and 6 days old at the time of her passing. She spent her early life in Virginia and Oklahoma, coming to Fort Benton in 1915. Mrs. Schoonover made many friends during her residence here who will regret her passing. She was united in marriage at an early age and to this union six children were born, four sons and two daughters: Charles, Melvin and Paul, of this city, and Lafe of Thornsby, Alberta, Canada; and Mrs. F. J. Stokes of Portal, N. D., and Mrs. W. D. Reynolds, of Ames, Okla., all of whom survive her as well as one sister, Alice Phillips, of Bainbridge, Ind.; and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were attended by a large number of friends who gathered to pay their last respects to their departed neighbors and friends. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
