He had been hospitalized five days. (Funeral details followed.) Charles Edward McKelvey, son of John and Margaret McKelvey, was born at Richview, Illinois, December 15, 1862 (sic) and died at St. Paul, Nebraska, February 23, 1956, at the age of 94 years, 2 months and 8 days. At the age of 25, he came to Nebraska and on March 25, 1891, he was united in marriage to Emma May Johnson. To this union, four children were born, namely Mrs. Jennie Knudsen of Grand Island, Nebraska, Mrs. Inez McIntyre of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, Mr. Tom McKelvey of Wolbach and Mrs. Mildred Richards of Pickstown, South Dakota, all of whom survive. Most of his life was spent on a farm northeast of Wolbach where he lived until 1942 when they moved to Wolbach, where they lived until two years after his wife's death, then he and his son, Tom, moved back to the farm. The past two years, he spent with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John McIntyre of Cedar Rapids. He was at one time affiliated with the I.O.O.F. Lodge and Woodman of the World, was a member of the Methodist Church of Wolbach and took an active part in Church as long as his health permitted. He was a kind and loving father and will be greatly missed by all. His wife preceded him in death on September 30, 1951. He leaves to mourn his passing his four children, also ten grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
