McKelvey Wednesday Afternoon Funeral services were held in Wolbach Wednesday, October 3 for Mrs. E. C. McKelvey, who passed away at her home here Sunday, September 30. Services were at the home at 2:15 and the Methodist church at 2:30. Rev. Paul J. Johnson conducted the services. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery. Wilson sang "Gods Tomorrow" and "No Night There". Mrs. J. c. Wilson sang a solo, "The Old Rugged Cross". Mrs. Zola Grossart was the pianist. Obituary - Emma Mae Johnson, daughter of William and Emma Johnson, was born September 7, 1872 at Red Oak, Iowa and departed from this life September 03, 1951 at the age of 79 years and 23 days. On March 28th, 1891, she was united in marriage to Edd McKelvey at Fullerton, Nebraska and to this union four children were born, namely, Mrs. Jennie Knudsen, Grand Island, Mrs. Inez McIntyre, Cedar Rapids, Tom McKelvey, Wolbach, and Mrs. Mildred Richards of Picks Town, South Dakota. Most of her married life was spent farming north east of Wolbach, but in 1940 they moved to Wolbach and she has spent her remaining years here. She was a loving and thoughtful mother and her family came first in everything. She was baptized in the Methodist Church and took an active part in all its activities and liked nothing better than to help the Ladies Aid with their suppers. She has been in failing health the past year and everything that loving hands could do was done for her comfort but to no avail and God called to her eternal home where there is no more suffering and pain. She was loved by all her neighbors and friends which was shown by the many deeds of thoughtfulness and kindness during her illness. Besides her husband and children, she leaves ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren. Five sisters, Mrs. Anna Imus, Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Dolly Armstrong, Twin Falls, Idaho, Mrs. Ida Green, Valentine, Nebr. Mrs. Bess Armstrong, California, and Mrs. Florence Michelson of Seattle, Washington; and one brother, Jesse Johnson of California. (List of out-of-town attendees of funeral followed)
