Description	:	Charles Ellis Ritterbush was born July 30, 1887, at Nelson, Nebraska, the son of Mary E. Ritterbush and Jacob Ritterbush. He was baptized as a child in the Presbyterian Church. On October 11, 1911, he was married to Maude E. Smith in the Nelson, Christian Church. To this union was born two children, Mary Helen and Charles Jacob. Mr. Ritterbush has lived around Nelson all his life. He farmed for many years and was a great lover of the soil. He always enjoyed his home, his children and grandchildren. Mr, Ritterbush passed away... Read More	Charles Ellis Ritterbush was born July 30, 1887, at Nelson, Nebraska, the son of Mary E. Ritterbush and Jacob Ritterbush. He was baptized as a child in the Presbyterian Church. On October 11, 1911, he was married to Maude E. Smith in the Nelson, Christian Church. To this union was born two children, Mary Helen and Charles Jacob. Mr. Ritterbush has lived around Nelson all his life. He farmed for many years and was a great lover of the soil. He always enjoyed his home, his children and grandchildren. Mr, Ritterbush passed away September 15, 1967 at Brodstone Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Charles in 1959, five brothers and sisters, Winefred Jones, Mildred Ritterbush, Fred O. Ritterbush, Emma Busch and Lulu Geary. He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Mary Helen Petty, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, September 18, at the First Christian Church in Nelson with the Rev. Victor Schwarz officiating. Casket bearers were Loy Davidson, William Hohl, Frank Adams, Eliis Garrison, O.P. Porter and Jack Wehrman. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery with the Klawitter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, September 21, 1967
