Read More	The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, February 6, 1930; pg. 5 Charles James Keith was born on the home farm nine miles northwest of Nelson on October 23, 1885, and passed from this life at the home of his mother in Nelson on February 4, 1930. He grew to manhood in Nuckolls county (sic) and was united in marriage with Lillie Belle Pester March 16, 1910. To this union seven children were born: Walter James, Kenneth Albert, Jesse LeRoy, Wilma Ann, Charles Neville, Grace Lillian, and Leona Mae, all of whom survive to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father. His good wife passed to the better world December 18, 1927. He lived in this vicinity all his life with the exection (sic) of three years spent on his farm near Miller, Nebr. That he was a true firiend (sic) and a good neighbor is evidenced by the constant kindly services rendered both to him and his family by his many friends throughout his extended illness. Besides the children, he leaves his mother, Mrs. Chris Collins, and sister, Mrs. P.A. Peterson, both of Nelson; his brothers B.A. Keith of Superior and Tom Collins of Hastings, as well as other relatives and a host of friends who mourn his passing. The funeral service was held at the Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The service was conducted by Rev. S.H. Jones of Falls City, assisted by Rev. W.B. Zimmerman of the Methodist church. I fear no foe, with thee at hand to bless; Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness; Where is death's sting? Where, grave thy victory? I triumph still, if thou abide with me.
