Description	:	CHARLES LYNN GERMAIN Charles Lynn Germain, son of Osmer A. and Nellie M. Germain, was born near Bern, Kansas, November 2, 1902, and passed to the better world October 4, 1941, from his home in DuBois, Nebraska. He leaves his mother, two brothers,W.C.Germain,of Sylacauga, Alabama; E.E. Germain, of Hutchinson, Kans., two uncles, three aunts, one niece and four nephews, many cousins and a host of friends. His father, one baby brother and a baby sister preceded him in death. Charles moved to DuBois at the age of four years, entering DuBois school at the age of six. At an early age he attended the United Brethren church with his parents and became a member at the age of twelve years. After being graduated from the DuBois school he finished his high school work at Pawnee City. From there he went to Peru State Teachers College for three summer terms, thereby fitting himself for teaching in the public schools. After three years of teaching and working at the Farmers Union Store in DuBois, he went to Des Moines, Iowa, in the service station business. Later Charles returned to DuBois where he purchased a general store which he operated until after a severe illness in the Sabetha hospital. Again he took up service station work in DuBois for several years. For the last four months he has been employed at the P.G. Fieselman store in DuBois. His demise was sudden and came almost instantly at about 2:00 a.m. Saturday. Charles had arisen from his bed, came down stairs and called his mother. He had a severe pain in the chest and asked for a hot water bottle. While Mrs. Germain was fixing that, he fell from his chair dead. The great Father who gives life had called a pilgrim home. Charles was a kind, loving son, devoted to his mother's care. Funeral services were held at the United Brethren church in DuBois and interment was in DuBois cemetery.
