Description	:	Charley W. Haidsiak, son of Frank and Mary Haidsiak was born March 6, 1884 on a farm near Yorktown, Iowa. He departed this life peacefully at the Nuckolls County Hospital of Superior, Nebraska on Dec. 12, 1969. In the year 1905 he came by horse and wagon to Nelson, Nebr. where he spent his entire life engaged in farming in the Highland community with his son Arthur. Mr. Haidsiak was united in marriage to Estella Rouse on Dec. 12, 1906 and to this union were born ten children. His wife and three sons preceded him in death: LeRoy, Glen and Willis. He leaves to mourn his passing seven children: Lester Haidsiak, Schaller, Iowa; Fern Cassell, Nelson, Nebr. Esther Wurtz, Bellville (sic), Kan.; Marie Lawrence, Wichita, Kansas; Athur Haidsiak, Nelson, Neb. John Haidsiak, Wichita, Kansas; Ruth Borcherding, Schaller, Iowa; a daughter in law, Helen Haidsiak, Nelson, Nebr. and three sisters, Lulu Holms, Nora, Nebr.; Lottie Petz, Tracy, Calif. and Martha Stephens, Bedford, Iowa, a brother Henry Haidsiak, Nelson, Nebr. and a sister in law, Anna Haidsiak of Blockston, Iowa, brother-in-law, Floyd Rouse, Nelson, Nebr., 24 grand children and 14 great grand children, and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides his wife and sons he was preceded in death by his father and mother and two brothers and a sister. He was a long time member of the Nelson Presbyterian church and an active member till failing health kept him from attending but he enjoyed his church services on TV and radio. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. His many good deeds will always be remembered by his family and friends. Services were held on Monday Dec. 15, 1969 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Presbyterian Church in Nelson Nebr. Rev. Donald Stewart officiating and burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Songs were by Verleen Gharring and Elizabeth Wehrman, accompanied by Esther Wehrman. Grandsons were casket bearers. Relatives and friends attended from Bedford, Schaller, Villisca, Yortown, Shannadoah (sic), Cleafirled (sic)and Diagonal, Iowa; Bellville (sic), Clifton and Wichita, Kansas, and Beatrice, Hastings, Clay Center, Trumbull and Superior, Nebraska.
