Carlson Charlotte Anderson was born at Hofva, Västergötland, Sweden, December 5, 1854, and died on January 30, 1928, at the age of 73 years, 1 month, 25 days. She was confirmed at the age of 15 years. In the fall of 1874 she emigrated to America, locating first at Clinton, Iowa, later moving to Boone. On April 9, 1882, she was united in marriage to C.J. Carlson, and they settled on a farm southeast of Stratford. To this union was born eight children, namely: Mrs. Mabel Monson, of Livermore, Iowa; Clarence, of Detroit, Mich.; Ellen, Esther, Walter and Harry, of Stratford. Eddie and Roy died in infancy. In the spring of 1919 she with her husband moved to Stratford. Her husband preceded her in death on September 15, 1925. She was a faithful member of the local Lutheran church for over forty years, attending services as long as her health permitted. She was ever a kind and devoted mother, always patient in all trials and afflictions. She leaves to mourn her death the six children, two grand children and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at the home and from the Lutheran church Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. Gunnar Goransson. Interment took place in the South Marion cemetery. Card of Thanks We hereby take this method of extending our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbors, who so kindly assisted us during the illness and the death of our beloved mother, Mrs. C.J. Carlson. Also to those who furnished the singing. May God bless all of you. The Children.
