Description	:	Boone County Democrat March 24, 1911 At 8:45 o’clock Thursday morning, at the family home in the fifth ward, occurred the death of Mrs. James McFarland, after an illness of several weeks. The funeral services were held from the Gospel Tabernacle at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. J.C. Crawford. The church was filled with neighbors and friends gathered to pay a last tribute to the memory of the friends whom all had esteemed in life. A quartette composed of Misses Reed and Beckett and Messrs Temple and Wiley, sang, “He knows it all,” “Asleep in Jesus,” and “Beautiful Isle of Some where,” with Miss Bon—Crawford at the organ, also a solo, “Becoming Hands” by Mr. Temple. The pall bearers were W.H. Latham, W.H. Sherman, J.C. Moore, John Paxton, Henry Hartman and D.B. Hill. The floral tributes were many and beautiful, interment in Linwood cemetery. Charlotte Malmberg was born in Geneva, Illinois, August 5, 1853. February 18, 1871, she was married to James McFarland, who with five children survive her. They are Frank of Boone, Mrs. Maude Blaney of New Mexico, Mrs. Blanche Hintz of Cedar Rapids and Louise and Lettie at home. They have the sincere sympathy of a host of friends in their sorrow.
