She was born November 6, 1914 in Gerald, Ohio to the late Ferdinand and Emilie (Meyer) Bindeman. She was baptized on November 29, 1914 by Pastor George Thun at St. John Lutheran Church Freedom Twp and was confirmed on May 12, 1929. She was married in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Twp. parsonage to Henry J. H. Wiemken on November 12, 1933, who preceded her in death on September 27, 1988. Christine was a homemaker and worked with her husband at Neuhauser Hatchery in Defiance for several years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Twp. and a member of the Women of the Church and Filling Home Guild. She is survived by her children; LeRoy (Patsy) Wiemken of Ridgeville Corners, LaVern (Virginia) Wiemken of Defiance, and LaVonne (Ted) Homier of Ottawa, grandchildren; Terri Wiemken, Randy (Kim) Wiemken, and Kelly Niehaus, Chad Homier, and Ryan Homier, great grandchildren; Nathan Howard, Rachel (Jeffery) Rhodes, Benjamin Wiemken, Ethan Wiemken, and Elizabeth Wiemken; and 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren in Oregon. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Eldor and Edwin Bindeman, and sisters, Regina Rohrs and Caroline Meyer. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Twp. with Pastor's Franklin Hays and Dean Stoner officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Twp. church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The family suggest's memorials to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Foundation, St. Paul's Women of Life, or Ridgeville Fire & Rescue.
