Description	:	MADISON, CLARENCE Clarence Madison, the son of Frank and Minnie Madison, was born January 30, 1893, on a farm southeast of Geneva, neb. He spent his life at the occupation of farming around Burress and Geneva. He was the eldest of thirteen children. He was united in marriage to Mary Hlina, November 12, 1918, at York, Neb. To this union three children were born, two daughters, Effie, now Mrs. Rex Miller; Evelyn, now Mrs. Clarence Elznic; and a son, Leo Clarence, who passed away at the age of two. Read More	MADISON, CLARENCE Clarence Madison, the son of Frank and Minnie Madison, was born January 30, 1893, on a farm southeast of Geneva, neb. He spent his life at the occupation of farming around Burress and Geneva. He was the eldest of thirteen children. He was united in marriage to Mary Hlina, November 12, 1918, at York, Neb. To this union three children were born, two daughters, Effie, now Mrs. Rex Miller; Evelyn, now Mrs. Clarence Elznic; and a son, Leo Clarence, who passed away at the age of two. Mr. Madison was a devoted husband and father and was always willing to help his neighbors and friends. He passed away at the Geneva General hospital, September 23, 1953, at 8:10 a. m., following a highway accident hear his home north of Geneva. He was preceded in death by the son, Leo Clarence, and his father, Frank. The immediate surviving relatives are his wife, Mary; two daughters, Effie, Mrs. Rex Miller of York; Evelyn, Mrs. Clarence Elznic of Exeter; and a step-daughter, Alice, Mrs. Roy Chapman of Exeter; and five grandchildren, Garve and Gerald Chapman; Sheila Elznic, Richard and Barbara Beck; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Madison of Geneva. There are also eight sisters and four brothers, George of Central City; Harvey and Thomas of Geneva; Ralph of Shickley; Mrs. Joe Hlina of Paxton; Mrs. John Ebbeka of Geneva; Mrs. James Little of Fairmont; Mrs. Kenneth Casburn of McCool; Mrs. Bernard O'Brien of Alexandria; Mrs. Joe Ladman of Geneva; Mrs. Roy Brust of Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Joe Smisek of Friend. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Geneva Friday, September 25, 1853 at 1:30 p. m. Dr. F. E. Pfoutz gave the memorial tribute. Music was given by a male quartet composed of Howard Hamilton, C. M. Humphrey, Ralph Reemts and Wallace Swanson, singing "In the Garden" and "Till We Meet Again." Miss Gayle Walton was at the organ. The pallbearers were Frank Betka, Joe Bures, Everett Chapman, Henry Shestak, John Sluka and George Taylor. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal Sept. 1953
