(Mooney/Winterburn). They married in April of 1916 3rd marriage to Mrs. Lucy Reynolds in 1927 found at A.com: Washington Marriage Records, 1865-2004 Newspaper article in Centralia dated April 1924 tells of an annual Elk's birthday party known as the Clarence M. Swick Birthday Party.......says he was born Apr 12, 1863 and had been a member of the Elk's since 1924. Sep 2, 1943. Centralia newspaper. "BEAN IS GIANT. C. M. Swick, who resides at the Corner of Iron and Magnolia streets, today had brought to the Daily Chronicle an Oregon Giant bean pod nine inches in length. The Centralian said his victory garden is also unusual in other ways this year. At present he is picking a second crop of peas, something he has never done before, and his Evergreen sweet corn must be harvested from a stepladder. The ears are eight feet from the ground." In March of 1947, he married a 4th time to Grace Lambert in Centralia. She is buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Centralia WA. Centralia Newspaper, Monday, Oct 8, 1956: "Clarence M. Swick, 93, a resident of Centralia for 49 years, passed away Saturday in a Seattle hospital. The deceased was born April 12, 1863, in Paw Paw, Mich. He was a member of the First Prebyterian church, long-time member of the Centralia Elks lodge and associated with the Moose lodge for the past 40 years. He was a carpenter, contractor and cabinet maker by trade. Survivors include a son, Clark Swick [wife Edna, dtr. Jeanne] of Detroit Mich., and Mrs. P. E. Larson of Seattle, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Stick? Chapel in Centralia at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. N. Harry Champlin will officiate. Centralia Elks will have charge of graveside services at the Washington Lawn Cemetery and vault entombment will follow." [another Centralia news article says that Clarence was the 'tyler' of the Elks Lodge--the guardian of the lodge] Clarence was also a member of a local Moose Lodge, according to another news article.
