Burial will be in St. Louis church cemetery at Good Intent . . . Mr. Keeler was born Oct. 26, 1904, in Atchison, a son of Robert and Mary Kessler Keeler and attended Center and Huron schools. He was a retired farmer and enjoyed traveling, playing cards with friends and gardening. Surviving are a sister, Miss Josephine Keeler, Huron; one brother, Albert Keeler, Whiting; two nieces, Mrs. Merrill (Margarite) Hinkle, Mayetta, and Mrs. Bernard (Betty) Olson, Whiting, and a nephew, Albert J. Keeler, jr., Whiting. Mass of Christian Burial for Clarence Keeler, 72, Huron, was held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Church at Purcell with Father Peter Beckman as celebrant. Burial was in St. Louis church cemetery at Good Intent. Richard Lanter, Jim McCubbin, Albert Brox, John Holmes, O. G. Parr and Ed Vandeloo were honorary pallbearers. Ray Kessler, Maurice Hinkle, Bernard Ohlson, Dean Ohlsen, Leonard Vandeloo and John Brox were active pallbearers. Mr. Keeler died Friday at the Methodist Medical Center in St. Joe. Stanton Morturary was in charge of funeral arrangements. Atchison Daily Globe, September 8, 1967 A divorce was granted in district court to Clarence R. Keeler, 62 from Emma Keeler, 63, on grounds of abondonment. They were married Sept, 22, 1934, at Purcell, in Doniphan county.
