Mr. Stahly was born Oct. 14, 1908, on a farm near Milford to Joel and Amelia Stahly. He attended Pilot Knob Country School and graduated from Milford High School as valedictorian in 1926. He farmed for many years... Read More	Clinton Elmer Stahly Obit Clinton Elmer Stahly, 92, Milford, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at his home in Milford. Mr. Stahly was born Oct. 14, 1908, on a farm near Milford to Joel and Amelia Stahly. He attended Pilot Knob Country School and graduated from Milford High School as valedictorian in 1926. He married DeElda Myers in December, 1929, and the couple had two daughters and a son. Mr. Stahly was employed with the Indian Service in Thurston and Knox counties for four years as a group foreman. He farmed for many years and was office manager for the Milford Co-op for nine years. He was also sales representative for L.G. Balfour Company and later with DeKalb Seed Company. On August 1, 1987, Mr. Stahly married Goldie M. Stauffer, moving to Milford and eventually to Linden Village. He was a member of the Milford Assembly of God Church, the Gideons, National Association of Evangelicals, Prison Fellowship, the Seward County Historical Society, was a 4-H leader and was active with the Seward County Extension Board. He served as president while on the school board as president. Survivors include his wife, Goldie, Milford; daughters and son-in-law, Margaret Ann Hansen, Wayne and Joan and Don Rouse, Lincoln; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Marjorie Stahly, Milford; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, sister, Mabel Carpenter, Stromsburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, DeElda in 1977; brothers, Homer Stahly, Edward Stahly, Grant Stahly and John Stahly; sisters May Sundberg and Anna Stahly and son-in-law, Herb Hansen. Memorial services were Saturday, Feb. 10, at Assembly of God Church, Milford, with the Revs. Chris Hoyer, Morris Stauffer, Frank Alexander. Mr. Stahly contributed his body to medical education and research at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Interment (at a later date) will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Milford. Memorials have been established to The Gideons International. Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford, was in charge of arrangements.
