Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 24 June 1959 Calvin Clyde Miller Died Here On Friday Clyde Calvin Miller, a resident of Chouteau county for the past 49 years, passed away at his home in this city following a long illness. When about 17 years of age, he suffered an affliction, possibly infantile paralysis, that affected his back and he never fully recovered from it. For the past 14 years he had been an invalid. The family moved to Fort Benton from the Miller Brothers ranch in 1956 and had since made their home here. Clyde Calvin Miller was born April 15, 1884, at Bluffton, Indiana, where he spent his early life. He and his brother, Claude, came to Montana in March 1910 and took up a homestead in what is know now as the Miller district in Pleasant Valley. Later their parents and other family came to Montana and took up land in that area. Miller Brothers added to their holdings by purchase of other land. In 1913 they engaged in the cattle business along with farming operations. Up until 1935 Clyde was active in the conduct of their operations and was a hard and conscientious worker, being of a determined disposition to help make a success of their enterprise. He was held in highest esteem by all who knew him and his friends were only numbered by his acquaintances. He was always of a most cheerful disposition, despite his great handicap of illness, and others were always cheered after having a visit with him. He never married. He leaves to mourn his passing a sister, Mrs. Grace Harnish, Fort Benton; two brothers, Claude of Fort Benton, and Guy Miller, of Chouteau, now in a hospital in Los Angeles; one nephew and three nieces, and other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held from the Benton Funeral Home chapel on Monday afternoon at two o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Wendell Tomlin, pastor of the First Methodist church, with the prayer being given by the Rev. W. Lloyd Hanley, pastor of the Christian church. Burial was in the family plot in Riverside cemetery. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
