Description	:	Cora was the daughter of William Perry & Charity Elizabeth (Crim) Brown. Two siblings were her older brother, George William, & younger sister, Lola Bell. Cora's father, William, died in Centralia on January 5, 1889, when she was only six years old. The following year on September 24, 1890, her mother married the found of Centralia, WA, George Washington. In the spring of 1894 Cora's stepfather, George Washington, deeded to her 1 lot and a house, 1 story high with shrubbery and fruit trees in the eastern part of Centralia, also another lot and part of the lot with a good house, wood house... Read More	Cora was the daughter of William Perry & Charity Elizabeth (Crim) Brown. Two siblings were her older brother, George William, & younger sister, Lola Bell. Cora's father, William, died in Centralia on January 5, 1889, when she was only six years old. The following year on September 24, 1890, her mother married the found of Centralia, WA, George Washington. In the spring of 1894 Cora's stepfather, George Washington, deeded to her 1 lot and a house, 1 story high with shrubbery and fruit trees in the eastern part of Centralia, also another lot and part of the lot with a good house, wood house and well, also 5 acres of good rich land about 1 mile south of Centralia on which is a 2 story house. ----- Cora married Thomas Allred (son of Solomon & Mary (Myers) Allred) in Centralia, Lewis Co, WA, on July 3, 1899. They had one daughter, born April 1, 1901. She died 4 1/2 months later, on August 15. Evidently Cora took back her maiden name after she & Thomas went separate ways. Courter, w.d. $1100; part of lot 3 and all of lot 1, block 70, Washington's 12 ad to Centralia." ----- Centralia Daily Chronicle (WA) Wednesday, January 1, 1913 "Mrs. C.E. Washington, of 602 S. Gold St., and her daughter, Cora Brown, left this afternoon for a two months' visit in Los Angeles." ----- Centralia Daily Chronicle-Examiner (WA) Thursday, July 16, 1914 "Miss Cora Brown left today for Seattle, where she will spend a week with friends." ----- Cora died at her mother's home in Centralia on December 25, 1934, on her mother's 80th birthday. Centralia Daily Chronicle "MISS CORA BROWN PASSES The death of Miss Cora Brown, aged 50, occurred yesterday at the home of her mother, Mrs. William B. Brown, 608 South Pearl Street, and followed a long illness. A brother, George W. Brown; and sister, Mrs. W.L. Bronson, Centralia. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Newell-Hoerling chapel with Rev. P.R. Raymond officiating. Interment will be at Washington Lawn." ----- "Funeral services for Miss Cora May Brown of Seattle were held from the Newell-Hoerling chapel Thursday afternoon., Miss Brown formerly resided here but moved to Seattle 15 years ago. She was employed by the National Bank of Commerce for the past seven years. Miss Brown was a member of the First Christian church. Rev. P.H. Raymond officiated at her funeral and pall bearers were from the M.W.A. lodge. Miss Brown is survived by her mother, Mrs. C.E. Brown, and a sister, Mrs. W.L Bronson, of Centralia, and a brother, Geo. W. Brown, of Port Angeles." "We wish to extend our sincerest thanks for the expressions of sympathy from our friends in the loss of our beloved one. Especially we thank the members of the M.W.A. Lodge for their assistance. - Mrs. C.E. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Bronson."
