Moved with her parents to a farm near Alma Nebr. in 1886, later moved to town where she attended the public school. She was married Feb. 7 1900 to Chas. Harrit, to this union one child was born Mabel Alice. She was later married to J. E. Deering on Aug. 24 1904 to this union eight children were born two of which preceded her. Nebraska Aug. 17, 1881. Moved with her parents to a farm near Alma Nebr. in 1886, later moved to town where she attended the public school. She was married Feb. 7 1900 to Chas. Harrit, to this union one child was born Mabel Alice. She was later married to J. E. Deering on Aug. 24 1904 to this union eight children were born two of which preceded her. Those living were Velma, Verdi, Una, Daneti, Eugene and Donald all of whom were with her at the last. She was converted in childhood and united with the church for which she was ever ready and willing to do what she could, in her last sickness she would often say if it had not been for Christs help she could never have born her sorrow, she was a great lover of hymns and would often sing until her strength would give out. Those left to mourn her loss are an aged mother Mrs. M. Karschner of Alma two sisters, Mrs. R. W. Harrison of Gladsby, Canada and Mrs. L. M. Yost of Alma besides her seven children and a host of friends both in Alma and Lincoln. After several months of intense suffering caused by hardening of the liver and dropsy, she passed peacefully away at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln Sept. 23 aged 40 years 1 mo. 6 days. The funeral service was held in the Evangelical church with a sermon by Rev. Runcie the pastor. Interment was in the Alma Cemetery. ___ Card of Thanks We wish to thank the many friends for their kindness and words of sympathy also the flowerai offering during the death and burial of our loved one.
