Paramore. At his home in this city early last Saturday morning occurred the death of David B. Paramore, a resident of this city for many years. His health had been poor for the past year and his death was the natural close of a long life. Mr. Paramore was born in Butler county, Ohio, De. 10, 1816. He was married to Miss Catherine Jacobas September 13, 1842, and to them was born one child, now Mrs. James Hill, of Tacoma, Washington. In 1856 he came to Iowa and for nearly two years lived at Mount Pleasant, moving from there to Fairfield early in the spring of 1858. His first wife having died, Mr. Paramore was married the second time, April 3, 1858, to Miss Sarah E. Clark, of this city. He has resided here ever since and has had the friendship and respect of a large circle of friends. By his second wife, Mr. Paramore was the father of a son, Frank, now in business in this city. He was the janitor of the Presbyterian church for nearly a third of a century. The funeral was held at the residence Sunday afternoon at four o'clock, Rev. C. S. McElhinny officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Morehouse, of Mt. Pleasant, and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Paramore, of Lorein, Ill., nephews of the deceased, were present at the funeral. --------------- Fairfield Ledger August 24, 1892 Pg. 3 Col. 3 & 4 Death of D. B. Paramore. David B. Paramore died at his home in this city Saturday after an illness of nearly a year's duration, a general breaking down of the system due to old age. Deceased was born in Butler county, Ohio, December 10th, 1816. The earlier years of his life were spent in his native state and in Indiana. September 13th, 1842, he was married to Catherine Jacobus, who died perhaps ten years later. Mr. Paramore came here in 1856, and April 3d, 1858, he was married to Mrs. Sarah E. Clark, who survives him. He had one child by his first marriage, Mrs. Clara Hill of Tacoma, Washington, and one by the second, J. F. Paramore of this city. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years, and as man and citizen commanded the respect of all who knew him. The remains were interred in this city Sunday afternoon, Rev. C. S. MeElhinny and Rev. E. I. Schreiner conducting the services. --------- Note: Brother of Jesse Paramore.
