Description	:	Abilene, Kansas Dean Hoover 91, passed away Friday, January 16th. He was born December 1, 1923 north east of Abilene, the son of David B. and Susan E. (Page) Hoover. Growing up in the area, Dean attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1942. After graduating, he worked on the family farm. May 4, 1952, Dean married Helen L. Roesler. All of their married life was spent farming in the Moonlight Community. He had served on the Talmage Farmers’ CO-OP board, Hays Township board and with the Chapman Rural Fire Department. (Page) Hoover. Growing up in the area, Dean attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1942. After graduating, he worked on the family farm. May 4, 1952, Dean married Helen L. Roesler. All of their married life was spent farming in the Moonlight Community. He had served on the Talmage Farmers’ CO-OP board, Hays Township board and with the Chapman Rural Fire Department. Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Irene Hover, Miriam Nichols and Viola Boles and three brothers; Robert, Paul and Dale Hoover. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 20th, at the Zion United Church of Christ in Junction City with Rev. Jason Kohler officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, The family will receive friends 5:30 to 6:30 PM Monday, January 19th, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in his name be given to the Zion United Church of Christ or the Hospice of Dickinson County.
