Description	:	Dawn Damaris Mclnnis Coming as a shock was the sudden passing away of Dawn Damaris, baby daughter of Lyle Fay and Jerrine Mclnnis, southeast of Akron. Dawn was born in the Akron Community hospital, February 3, 1955 and spent the first five weeks or her life there. Most of that time she was in an incubator. Read More	Dawn Damaris Mclnnis Coming as a shock was the sudden passing away of Dawn Damaris, baby daughter of Lyle Fay and Jerrine Mclnnis, southeast of Akron. Dawn was born in the Akron Community hospital, February 3, 1955 and spent the first five weeks or her life there. Most of that time she was in an incubator. Although her life was held by a thread at times, under the constant care and watchful eyes of the hospital staff and Dr. Trotzig, she thrived and was taken to her parents farm home. Loving arms welcomed her there and she continued to grow strong and healthy in the atmosphere of love that surrounded her by the family. She seemed to sense the inbounding love in her parents hearts and as the days unfolded into months she grew in stature and wisdom with all the traits of normal babies, So the concern of her early lift was gradually lifted and the looking forward to her future was strengthened. With an ever ready smile to all, and each pair of arms that held her she would gaze with searching eyes into the faces seeming to try and tell them she loved everyone and was aware of the great love bestowed on her. On New Year's day a family dinner was held at the parents home for members of the father's family. Dawn played and gave her kisses gladly, proudly showing off her latest accomplishments of the past week. She gave no hint of being ill, other than a little fussing every baby, displays with teeth cutting, or so it was believed. She was prepared for bed and after the usual nightly play time with her little sisters and parents, she was tucked in her crib at 9:30 p. m. Sometime between then and 1:45 a. m.. January 2, she was called by an Angel and borne to the waiting arms of Jesus, at the age of 10 months, 29 days. Survivors. include her parents, 2 sisters, Deborah Faye and Kyle Kay; 4 grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Mclnnis, Sr., of Akron and Mr. and Mrs. John Osterbuhr of Elk Point, South Dakota; 4 aunts and 5 uncles and numerous other relatives. On April 10, 1955 her life was dedicated to Christ by her pastor, G. W. Swan. Funeral services were held January 4, 1956 under-the direction of Rossow funeral home in the First Church of Christ at Akron with Pastor Swan officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery there with pallbearers being Merlyn Klemme, Larry Holm, Archie Port and Arden Blake. Mrs. Gerald Blake sweetly sang "Jewels" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" accompanied by Mrs. Marvin Klemme on the piano. God needed another flower, To bloom in His garden up there So He chose our darling little Dawn, For she was so sweet and fair.
