Delbert Barrows was born at Oak, Nebraska, September 22, 1900; died at Hastings, Nebr., July 14, 1917, to which place he was taken the previous day by advice of the home physicians, that he might receive further relief from a serious throat trouble from which he had been a most patient but intense sufferer for a week. Read More	DELBERT BARROWS CALLED HOME. Delbert Barrows was born at Oak, Nebraska, September 22, 1900; died at Hastings, Nebr., July 14, 1917, to which place he was taken the previous day by advice of the home physicians, that he might receive further relief from a serious throat trouble from which he had been a most patient but intense sufferer for a week. His earthly life had been spent in his home and in the schools at Oak and Nelson. The early call to his home beyond coming when he was so young, so full of vigor and life and plans, has caused a great sadness, indeed, in both of these circles. Delbert was ever of a happy, cheerful disposition, and showed undue consideration in the welfare of others which enabled him to have a host of friends who were always glad to meet him, with his happy smile. He is survived by his parents, five sisters and three brothers. He was laid to rest on Monday afternoon beside his brother Joe, just older than he, who was called home three years ago. The burial was private which made it a doubly sad event. Rev. W.W. Hull of the Methodist church (sic), accompanied those in charge both at the home and at the cemetery speaking words of hope, comfort and consolation.
