Description	:	Della Maye Kauffman was born to James Earl and Jessie Emaline (Mills) Swadley in Strawtown, Indiana on August 8, 1931. In the fall of 1931 the family moved to Emerson, Iowa and to Malvern in 1938. Della graduated from the Malvern High School in 1941. Read More	Della Maye Kauffman was born to James Earl and Jessie Emaline (Mills) Swadley in Strawtown, Indiana on August 8, 1931. In the fall of 1931 the family moved to Emerson, Iowa and to Malvern in 1938. Della graduated from the Malvern High School in 1941. She was joined in marriage to Lawrence (Larry) LeRoy Kauffman on June 27, 1950. They had 2 daughters, Lillian Lea and Patricia Marie. She lived in Malvern most of her life. Della was a member of the First Baptist Church of Malvern, Rebekah Society, American Legion Auxiliary and the Deborah Circle of the Baptist Church. Della enjoyed embroidery as a hobby and listening to country western music. She was a member of the Bob Everhart International Fan Club. Della died on March 9, 1987 at the Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital in Council Bluffs following a long, hard fight with cancer. She is preceded in death by her father, James Earl and husband, Lawrence. Della is survived by her two daughters, Lillian and her husband, Larry Campbell of Hastings and Patricia and her husband, Robert Boydston of Malvern. There are three grandchildren who also survive Della. Three sisters, Mary L. Swan of Nashville, MI, Yvonne (Jo) Allen and Carolyn Mount, both of Glenwood also survive Della, as does her mother, Jessie Swadley of Malvern. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Eric McGarrah at the Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home in Malvern on Thursday, March 13 at 2 p.m. A visitation was held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening. Pall Bearers were Roger Mount, Frank Greene, Jeff Greene, Chad Mount, Dennis Greene and Douglas Archer. Mrs. Frank Greene served at the registry book. Helen Kline and Zylpha Blackburn were the flower committee. Dr. James Carmicheal sang "Footprints in the Sand" and "Home Where I Belong." Interment was in the Malvern Cemetery. Following the service, a reception was held for the family in the Baptist Church Hall.
